We thought this would be an excellent opportunity to review two Frequently Asked Questions related to the unique EM578 experience!

How does the car ride?
It rides surprisingly well for a high performance vehicle. It is not jouncy or rough, and spring/shock combos can be adjusted to provide as soft a ride as you desire.

Is it noisy inside the cockpit?
The noise level in the cockpit depends on the type of engine installed, the exhaust system configuration and driving style. Our demonstrator car has a 408hp engine without catalytic converters and it sounds great!

Having a conversation with your passenger at highway speeds is no problem. If you stomp on it...well, that's a different story!

Question: Is the EM578 a Kit Car?

This is a question we often receive, and love to answer! No, the EM578 is not a kit car.

The EM578 is a Performance Component Vehicle, custom and hand-built by us to your specifications - much different than a kit car!

Here are just two important distinctions between a kit car and the EM578 Performance Component Vehicle:

1. A kit car is often for someone who wants a unique design, along with the pride and satisfaction of assembling the car themselves. This requires extensive time, research, and assembly expertise on the part of the buyer.

The EM578 is for someone who wants a rolling chassis or ready-to-drive vintage sports car. It is not available as a kit, meaning we build you a complete car at our facility, to your exact specifications. There are many ways you can option your EM578 to make it even more unique, including engine selection, interior options, and more.

2. A kit car often requires the buyer to source key parts, and often the "donor car" itself, from one or more used vehicles.

Each EM578 is built with the highest attention to detail, and quality second-to-none! You don't have to worry about whether the car you're buying has been abused or neglected. We fabricate a first-class chassis at our facility for maximum rigidity and safety.

Let's Talk Horsepower

Raise your hand if you've ever said, "You can never have too much horsepower." We designed the EM578 for everyone, including those of you with raised hands!

We offer rolling chassis and turnkey ready-to-drive packages for the EM578. A common first question we receive is, "How much power do I get with the turnkey package?"

The turnkey package is fitted with a Chevrolet 5.7 liter V8 putting out an impressive 330 bhp @ 6200 RPM, with 305 ft lbs of torque @ 5700 RPM. Be sure to see our specifications page.

Still raising your hand in need of more power? Don't worry: there are literally over a hundred crate motors we can put in your EM578 to achieve any kind of power you want. 400hp? 500hp? The choice is yours.

If you live in snow country, you understand just how hard it is to go all winter without being around your favorite cars! In fact, just seeing a rare car on the road can make your day.

The EM578 is definitely a head-turner, and we love conversing with anyone who asks us about the car when we're out on the town. Our customers feel the same way!
